Pagcor is gearing up to launch its own online casino platform in 2024, promising an immersive gambling experience. Alejandro H. Tengco, Pagcor’s chairman and CEO, announced that the government-run gaming regulator and operator will introduce online gaming operations under the name “casinofilipino.com.”
Scheduled for a debut in the first quarter of 2024, the platform will expand on the offerings of the state-owned Casino Filipino venues, providing players with a digital gambling experience. Tengco highlighted that the online Casino Filipino aims to utilize virtual reality technology, replicating the visual and auditory aspects of a physical casino.
“It will allow players to interact with digital counterparts of traditional casino games, transcending physical boundaries and enabling users from around the world to participate in virtual environments,” Tengco explained.
He also emphasized that the online platform has the potential to reach a global audience, establish a presence in virtual gaming communities, and tap into new markets, diversifying its customer base.
Tengco believes that the introduction of the online Casino Filipino will lead to higher revenue, expanded market reach, increased cost efficiency, and improved customer engagement. In addition to the online gaming offering, Pagcor plans to modernize its slot machines by acquiring 3,500 state-of-the-art Electronic Gaming Machines through a lease agreement with a manufacturer.
“The modernization plan also includes developing Pagcor’s Information Technology (IT) programs and systems to fine-tune its Casino Management System,” Tengco said. He noted that this initiative will enhance operational efficiency, improve the overall customer experience, and enable real-time reporting and analytics.
Furthermore, the upgrade will ensure robust security measures and fraud prevention, optimize financial management, and streamline compliance requirements, according to Tengco.
